At 14 he made an internship with French designer agnès b, for which he was paid in clothes. From 1997 he worked for Balenciaga. The Gucci Group bought Balenciaga in 2001, but he could stay. In 2012, after 15 years, Gucci Group announced his leaving. From 2013 until nowadays he is the creative director of Louis Vuitton after Marc Jacobs.
