The Designer Bible - Part 56. -Kenzo

The first French brand, that has a name that's easy to pronounce!

I mean, to be honest, that must be because it is, in fact, not a French name. Kenzo Takada is actually a Japanese fashion designer, who moved to Paris, and launched his brand in 1970. After seeing so many Kenzo ads, we can be certain that the style is nowhere near the sophisticated French woman's closet, but this is exactly how we like it - fresh and hip!

From 1970 to 2000, Mr. Takada was the creative director of the brand, and after that, Gilles Rosier, Antonio Marras, and current key people, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim followed in his footsteps.
