The Versace brand (Gianni Versace S.p.A.) was founded by Donatella's brother, Gianni in 1978. They rose to fame in 1994, after Elizabeth Hurley wore one of their dresses, which gave them international media coverage.
After Gianni's death in 1997, Donatella took over the family business, and not only kept their reputation, but exceeded every limitation thanks to her strong vision, and hard work in strengthening the image of the brand.

God / goddess like, probably the best words to describe the brand's clothes with - reminds us slightly of the Gladiators, but parts of their collections are so over the top, it feels like they could only be worn by royalty.
