Hermés was established in 1837 by Thierry Hermés. First they made leather bags and other goods. To make a leather Hermés bag took approximately 18-24 hours.
Today they are specialized in leather, lifestyle accessories, perfumery, luxury goods and ready-to-wear.
They use the logo with the carriage and horse from the 1950's. The
famous Hermés scarf was introduced in 1937 and it was worn by several
celebrities, like Queen Elizabeth II, Grace Kelly or Sharon Stone in
Basic Instinct.
Famous
bags: Kelly bag, Birkin bag, the symbol of wealth. Unfortunatey they are made from
exotic animals' skins with cruel methods. In 2015 Jane Birkin asked Hermés to
remove her name from the bag.
