She is the second daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney. She has been interested in fashion already as a teenager, first she made a jacket for herself. Three years later she worked as an intern for Christian Lacroix.
In
the early 90s she studied fashion design in Central Saint Martins
College of Art and Design in London. Her exam collection was presented
by her famous model girlfriends, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. The
vegetarian and animal lover Stella McCartney is not using fur or
leather, but she works with other animal origin materials, like wool and
silk.
In 1997 she become the leading fashion designer of Chloe,
following Karl Lagerfeld. He wasn't with a good opinion of this choice,
but Stella rebuted his doubts. In 2005 she collaborated with H&M for
a season.
For her being a fashion designer is a harder job as a few people thinks, she is famous only because of his father.
